Well GOOD DAY ALL
Who would have thought that we would have such a good FEBRUARY with great catches of TUNA, YELLOWTAIL and DORADO, very unseasonal but never impossible in these waters as this is usually MARLIN time.
On those days that the wind has kept us inshore some good REEF FISHING and the odd SNOEK as well.
With the OCEAN RACE having arrived in CAPE TOWN, sadly only 5 OMOCA’S, NO VOLVO 65’s we will be tied up in the WATERFRONT from the 23rd till the 26th with WARNER BROS to film the IN-PORT and departures.
Our PELAGIC BIRDING trips continue under the watchful eye of TREVOR and CLIFFY of ZEST FOR BIRDS having already delivered some great sightings this year.
Our ongoing relationship with TWO OCEANS AQUARIUM continues, and we will release a sub-adult GREEN TURTLE on our next outing and a few more thereafter.
So, with all that said and done, the next 3 months should be a cracker with good signs of YELLOWFIN TUNA already, only to get better as we head towards JUNE.
Our very own TUNA MASTERS set to start on the 12th opening function through till the 16th out of HOUT BAY hosted by ATLANTIC BOAT CLUB with the best 3 days being the competition (tuna masters…..) so come down and watch the weigh-ins at 1700 daily and enjoy a cold beverage.
