Well compliments of the season and happy new year.
It’s been a busy time at HOOKED ON AFRICA FISHING CHARTERS with most good weather days having 1 to 3 boats at sea. The TUNA just keep biting which is very strange for this time of year and although a smaller class YELLOWFIN ( 15 to 40kgs) it’s been great fun catching them on anything from a FLY rod to very light tackle with a lot of the younger fish released to get big.
Neptune willing this should continue…
Also, in the mix and all the signs are right is our MARLIN season with plenty of small skipjack, Longfin and Yellowfin tuna known as MARLIN biscuits.
Our Belated Crayfish season is still around with 6 days left 24th/25th JAN/ 31st/01st FEB and 21st/22 March. This Mixed with a HALF DAY YELLOWTAIL excursion makes for an awesome morning’s fishing with added value!
We have 40 PELAGIC BIRDING TRIPS booked for the year so watch this space for any of our EXOTIC Sightings.

We again released 14 juveniles rescued and rehabilitated turtles with satellite tags sadly out of 14 only 2 continued to send out signals as to their whereabouts which is very unfortunate following the dedicated work that go’s into rehabilitating these awesome creatures by our aquarium staff.
