A TYPICAL DAY OUT AT SEA - TUNA FISHING
What to expect when going out fishing with Hooked On Africa Fishing Charters.
ARRIVAL TIME:
Arrive 06:00 don’t be late or we leave without you. 06:30 departure or as discussed.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Old clothing, shorts or longs with closed shoes, rubber soles preferably due to hooks and gaffs. Windbreaker just in case of spray. Sunglasses for the glare, polarised preferable. Don’t forget your suncream and a hat.
TRAVEL TIME:
We depart and take between 1 and 2 hours to get out depending on sea state but keep you updated with small talk about what we look for and the bird life.
EARLY MUNCHIES:
On route we supply breakfast in the form of muffins, fruit and drinks.
FISHING:
Once we get to where we want to we set lines 6 in total and give you a briefing of what and what not to do. We hand out harnesses or angling buckets to protect your anatomy.
NEED TO GO:
We do have an onboard toilet for all our lady anglers as well as those men not so well endowed.
FISHING ACTION:
All the action starts once we get a strike or are called in on fish by my many contacts
LUNCH:
Lunch is in the form of Sandwiches or roast chicken with snacks and drinks during the day.
TIME OUT AT SEA:
We fish till 1500 or earlier depending on the day. Return by 1600 to 1700 to cut up fish for you and a cold yeast upstairs in the bar.
