SPRING HAS SPRUNG

After one of the CAPE’S first PROPER WINTERS in many years (GALES, BIG SEAS and ICE’Y CONDITIONS) the SNOEK made a brief appearance off HOUT BAY and then together with some world class YELLOWTAIL action moved to YSTERFONTEIN.

Unfortunately for us to go there is a 40nm run and not really cost effective  for a HALF DAY or WINTER SPECIAL.

We had some ATLANTIC BONITO action at ROBBEN ISLAND but that was also brief.

The Fishing down towards CAPE POINT has also been very slow with the odd YELLOWTAIL and KATONKAL, but here today gone tomorrow.

Our PELAGIC BIRDING CHARTERS have kept us alive with 5 trips last month and some very good days with sightings amongst others SOUTHERN and NORTHERN ROYALS, WANDERING, SPECTICLE and those elusive FULMAR’S, unfortunately so far this month the weather hasn’t” played ball”

All of these trips through ZEST for BIRDS with TREVOR/ CLIFFY as our world class guides with a wealth of knowledge.

With OCTOBER around the corner and those south easterly  winds predicted over the next 2 weeks I’m sure those TUNA will be back very soon with the SNOEK, YELLOWTAIL and those ATLANTIC BONITO making a welcome return into our area of operation.

So if it’s a great day and fish you’re after, look no further than an operation of 30 plus years track record that speaks for itself and a network on the water of what’s really going on!
