WELL GOOD DAY ALL
We are HALFWAY through WINTER and one month left till SPRING.
Since the end of the TUNA SEASON, it’s been somewhat slow on the INSHORE GAME FISHING with not much to report other than a few good days at ROBBEN ISLAND on those ferocious ATLANTIC BONITO ( KATONKAL) on really light tackle allowing for some really great sport fishing. Unfortunately with that comes the risk of being taxed by our CAPE FUR SEALS just as you are about to land your catch.
Most other areas have been STONE DEAD with water temperatures ICE COLD.
Our PELAGIC BIRDING CHARTERS together with our PARTNERS ZEST FOR BIRDS under the guidance of TREVOR have produced some WORLD CLASS LIFE’Rs with amongst others, SHY, BLACK BROWED and YELLOWNOSE ALBATROS and we’ve managed to see and photograph NORTHERN and SOUTHERN ROYALS, WANDERING’s as well as SOUTHERN FULMAR’S.
These will continue WEATHER DEPENDANT so make contact with TREVOR of ZEST for BIRDS to get a spot on our next excursion.
Well OCTOBER is not too far away when we again start to look for those ELUSIVE TUNA and seeing the CAPE’s had a proper WINTER I’m sure the TUNA will again arrive in numbers to test even the hardiest of us salty sea dogs.
So if it’s TUNA you are after, wait till OCTOBER, we are currently busy with our WINTER SPECIALS ( REEF FISHING or GAME FISHING) all catered everything supplied targeting YELLOWTAIL, SNOEK and ATLANTIC BONITO so if your keen on a relaxed day on the water give us a shout
ENJOY the photo’s a testament to our success and remember to do your homework before booking as there are too many fly-by-nights out there with all the gear and NO IDEA
YOUR Captain
