Well Good Day all

Spring has sprung and the TUNA have arrived!

Since our last update we have been very busy with PELAGIC BIRDING CHARTERS as this is one of the best destinations in the world where one can see several ALBATROSS SPECIES in one day along with several other usual exotic sea birds under the guidance of our WORLD CLASS GUIDES and SKIPPERS.

Amongst these trips we have done several half day inshore game fishing charters with mixed results but mostly positive on our catch records with releases as well.

So, the Tuna have appeared with good signs of BIG LONGFIN TUNA and a few YELLOWFINS in between.

As October is our traditional start of the TUNA season this is good news as its ahead of schedule.

Having just returned from TEOS TURKEY and having fished with OBELIX CHARTERS in this years TUNA MASTERS TEOS we caught good fish (BLUEFIN TUNA) in the pre-fishing days but struggled in the competition not for lack of trying and hope to see 2 teams here next year for our TUNA MASTERS CAPE TOWN  in MAY 2026 (19th to 23rd)

We have a very full order book already and a full pelagic schedule for next year already so if it’s a quality fishing experience you’re after get those bookings in soon.

The half day game fishing should get better as our summer gets warmer with YELLOWTAIL, SNOEK and even BONITO.

There are several competitions in the pipeline firstly the old traditional OCTOBER comp out of CAPE BOAT ( 20th to 25th Oct 2025)  and our very own TUCKERS TACKLE TUNA DERBY ( 13th to 16th Nov 2025).

We have Serviced, Anti Fouled and Tackle prepped so ready for anything KING NEPTUNE throws at us.

  • All our skippers and crew are COMMERCIALLY endorsed to take paying passengers to sea.
  • We are fully insured through Club Marine and have public and passenger liability, public liability insurance up to R20 Million. STCW qualified crew & skippers.
  • We are inspected and surveyed through SAMSA annually as a Charter Vessel.
