Well Good Day All
Itβs been a FRENETIC NOVEMBER with FISH a PLENTY, from TUNA to YELLOWTAIL and even SNOEK in between.
On the DEEP SEA, OFFSHORE, TUNA side lots of YELLOWFIN, LONGFIN, and even BIG EYE TUNA with the winning fish during our TUNA DERBY being that of 104kgs and we managed amongst the fleet of 25 boats to release 48 YELLOWFINS. This is a concept that our club ATLANTIC BOAT CLUB has initiated to ensure our competitions aim at sustainable FISHING and gear the prizes accordingly.
This same concept with a few minor adjustments will be done for our TUNA MASTERS ( 14th,15th and 16th of APRIL 2023)
Iβm sure the TUNA will continue through till mid-JANUARY or even later as water temps are still low for this time of year.
On the inshore GAME FISHING YELLOWTAIL and SNOEK are around and biting well so this in conjunction with our BELATED ROCK LOBSTER season (dates) will provide for a great HALF or FULL days charter.

We have one more Pelagic Birding trip this year and then next year a FULL order book so for those wanting a fantastic experience get hold of TREVOR from ZEST FOR BIRDS who will slot you into a booking.
The Two Oceans AQUARIUM have a number of rehabilitated TURTLES to be released so that will be done soon once the water temps rise.
February sees the OCEAN RACE stopover in CAPE TOWN so watch this space for all the action from their arrivals, in port and departures.
So from the CAPTAINS CABIN I wish you all a merry Christmas and all the best for the NEW YEAR, for those traveling travel safe and we will see you on the other side of this year.
