Hooked On Africa Fishing Charters Online Newsletter

WELL Good Day All

From the TUNA CAPITAL of the world HOUT BAY, itโ€™s been a fantastic start to our TUNA SEASON, probably one of the best in 5 years especially on the LONGFIN TUNA side with very good catches and averages in excess of 15kgs.

October started us off with a bang and NOVEMBER has been much the same with a very mixed bag of YELLOWFIN some good class fish as well as some smaller ones. The stage is now set for a cracker of a season into DECEMBER and onwards.

On the INSHORE GAME FISHING front good signs of SNOEK and YELLOWTAIL have been recorded down towards CAPE POINT but the ATLANTIC SEABOARD side which was so productive this WINTER has gone โ€™ICE COLDโ€™.

The long awaited CRAYFISH season has again opened so that in conjunction with an inshore HALF DAY makes for a great mornings fishing but please check with us as the times and dates are all over the place thanks to our FISHERIES DEPARTMENT.

HOOKED ON AFRICA’S FLEET has been nice and busy and judging from our booking sheet looks set to continue well into next year so for those of you wanting a QUALITY FISHING EXPERIENCE with a professional crew and state of the art equipment and tackle, look no further as our track record speaks for itself.

On the PELAGIC BIRDING side not much has changed still some WINTER BIRDS here but plenty of GAINT PETRELS, YELLOW NOSED ALBATROSS and many more.

Looking ahead it all depends on what you want to catch, but we will advise you accordingly so if you havenโ€™t got your bookings in yet PLEASE do so as the dairy is already quiet full and as we know here in the CAPE the WEATHER ALWAYS has the final say.

ENJOY our updated photoโ€™s and see you soon.
