It’s been a frenetic few weeks with TUNA MASTERS now being a “KEEP your Biggest and Release the rest” which although a big success, lost a few boats due to the change in date however great fun was had by all. Hooked On Africa proudly secured the top ladies angler class in this event 😊
We hosted the EFSA ( European Championships) with very good fishing in the PRE-FISH week and some very good results in the championships well done to TEAM IRELAND under the watchful eye of Gerard and EXTRAVAGENCE taking SILVER.
There are still plenty of TUNA around but seem to be feeding at night making for some very frustrating days chum and they just won’t come.
With the current water temperatures, this should continue till early JUNE after which we will resort to our ”WINTER SPECIALS”
Our Pelagic Birding trips have taken a beating with the weather BUT on one of our last we saw a bird not seen for 25 years a GREY PETREL hopefully we get some good birds this weekend.
There are plenty of SNOEK up the west coast and very good YELLOWTAIL at the point so for those HALF DAY GAME FISHING days its looking good.
We still have the TUNA NATIONALS next week with 8 teams taking part so let’s see what these TOP anglers can produce on 10kg line (it’s like going to a gun fight with a knife)

- All our skippers and crew are COMMERCIALLY endorsed to take paying passengers to sea.
- We are fully insured through Club Marine and have public and passenger liability, public liability insurance up to R20 Million. STCW qualified crew & skippers.
- We are inspected and surveyed through SAMSA annually as a Charter Vessel.
