Well WINTER is upon us!
Cold Fronts, lots of Rain and our traditional north westerly winds – That’s WINTER.
Fishing has been slow with a few YELLOWTAILS, ATLANTIC BONITO, and some CHINA SNOEK.
This is set to continue through till mid-SEPTEMBER when again we start looking at temperature charts and currents for the arrival of our 2nd part of the TUNA SEASON.
Our REEF FISHING SPECIALS are a good family option as its close, action is good, and we release most of the CAPE BREAM but keep the big ones for a fry.
Our PELAGIC BIRDING CHARTERS have suffered due to the weather, but we did get out last weekend with 2 boats and found all the WINTER BIRDS.
These are set to continue but I’m afraid they are all fully booked till next year unless there’s a demand in which case more can be added.
With every season we seem to get more “WOULD BE CHARTER OPERATORS” so do your homework when shopping around as there are plenty out there with half the gear and absolutely NO IDEA!
So, you will find cheaper options, but you need to ask WHY????
What size is the boat, do’s it have a full cabin, is there a toilet onboard, how long have they been operating, do they have insurance including public liability, is the crew properly qualified and how is their track record.

- All our skippers and deckhands are STCW 95 qualified (first aid, firefighting, personal safety at sea, life raft training)
- All our skippers and crew are COMMERCIALLY endorsed to take paying passengers to sea.
- We are fully insured through Club Marine and have public and passenger liability, public liability insurance up to R20 Million. STCW qualified crew & skippers.
- We are inspected and surveyed through SAMSA annually as a Charter Vessel.
